Lowe's is a friendly place to shop. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable about products they sell. I would recommend the home improvement store for anyone looking for an easy and enjoyable shopping experience. They always get my business!

Always treated me with respect and kindness.staff very knowledgeable.well now I work there so well you figure it out lol

This store is terrible about stocking wood pellets that they sell along with their wood pellet burning heating stoves they sell. Its last of December, its single didget temps and they are sold out of pellets and was told wasn't sure if they would be getting anymore in. I'm sure they be happy to sell a pellet stove tonight but " sorry" no pellets. This is simply crazy.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at a Lowe's customer service training. I imagine those being conducted by competitive walkers who give the instruction to smile, say hello, and then scurry away quickly before the customer asks for help. And I want to apologize in advance to the mere handful of employees at the store who are actually helpful and knowledgeable. I do in fact feel for their plight of swimming in the sea of scurrying blue vests. I've learned to avoid eye contact with employees, respond with a quick hello, and practice the Lowe's scurry while I wander about the vast store looking for an item that always seems to be counter intuitively placed. So, here are examples of the Lowe's customer experience. I went to one store looking for fiberglass patching, which is advertised on the Web site. As I made my way to the batbtub area, thinking tub repair would be there, I deftly avoided eye contact and the plague of cheery hellos. The products weren't in bathrooms The lady asks, "Find what you are looking for?" I said no and told her what I needed. She shook her head and answered in a good luck with that tone She said to look in paints but really communicated that it was a lost cause. I'm guessing she missed the training because she didn't scurry away. If the $40 worth of Bondo products don't fix my tub, I extended my gratitude to her for the grumpy reality check. I will owe her a free bondo treatment to affix a smile on her face. Example 2: I went to buy a fire pot for my patio. The one I wanted was on the top shelf. I went to the counter to get help. Two enployees were talking to each other. I stood by them patiently. They continued to talk, neither said hello, acknowledged my presence, or scurried away. I guess they missed the training. Eventually, I scurried away without buying the fire pot. Example 3: I got shuffled to 3 different registers because the cashiers insisted that there would be no waiting. Each time I moved the person who had been behind me got checked out before I did. When they frantically insisted I move to another no waiting line, I smiled from behind three other people and said "I will stay here. I was not in a hurry." These days I go to Lowes for amusement as much as to look at tools and buy stuff. If at all possible, I buy my hardware at Town & Country in Camargo. There, you will find people who give great advice, are interesting, and will make sure you get the right thing to fix your problem. Lowes, well, they have acres of stuff and if you know what you need and are willing to dodge all the weirdness in blue vests, you will at least leave with a product, albeit a little nonplussed.

Simply called for a team member in nursery to check a specific item #. They refused to do it simply because, "I know we don't have any...I don't need to check the item number. " REALLY?????!!!! The Lowe's website suggested that I call the store with this specific # and then the employee has a God Complex and doesn't want to enter six simple numbers into a scanner???!!! God forbid she has to go out of her way to help a customer on the phone that is thirty minutes away. She had way too much power and ZERO customer relation skills!!!! She was down right rude! She definitely doesn't have to worry about little old me bothering her at work. In fact, I don't need to shop at Lowe's for my plant selection. I have a brand new house with no shrubbery or landscaping. A literal blank slate and plenty of money to buy whatever I want. I'll be shopping local ONLY from now on!!!!
